Hi, I’m Donni, the creator of March Miracles and a proud Bulgarian who cherishes the traditions of my homeland.

I grew up in a small, picturesque village in Bulgaria, where life followed the gentle rhythm of nature and the seasons.

Surrounded by the beauty of the countryside, my childhood was steeped in customs and traditions that have been passed down for generations.

In our village, everything was done with care and love.

We made preserves to last through the long winters, filling jars with sun-ripened fruits and vegetables from our gardens.

I’d spend days with my family making goat cheese—a skill that required patience and precision but brought immense satisfaction.

The smell of fresh bread baking in our kitchen is a memory I hold dear, as are the vibrant village festivals where music and laughter filled the air.

One of the most magical traditions was the making of Martenitsi.

Every spring, my mother and I would sit together, weaving red and white threads into symbols of hope and renewal.

She would tell me stories of Baba Marta, the spirited old woman who heralds the arrival of spring.

Those moments connected me deeply to my roots, and they inspire every Martenitsa I create today.

Life took an unexpected turn when I fell in love with an Englishman who had moved to Bulgaria.

Our love story blossomed amidst the beauty of my homeland, and eventually, I joined him in England.

Now, I live between two worlds, carrying Bulgaria in my heart while embracing life in the UK.

It’s a balance that has enriched my perspective and given me a profound appreciation for both cultures.

Creating Martenitsi allows me to stay connected to my Bulgarian heritage.

It’s a tradition that reminds me of home, of the warmth of family, and the timeless customs that define who I am.

Sharing these beautiful tokens with you is my way of keeping this tradition alive and introducing a piece of Bulgaria to the world.
